Trail Fifty shares the route with Trail Hundred between the start (Pesthidegkút) and Pilisszentlászló.
The organisers reserve the right to alter the route or to cancel the race in the event of emergency. In this case entry fees will be refunded, or - upon request - debited as the entry fee of another race of ours.
Almost the entire route runs on the territory of the Duna-Ipoly National Park, on marked trails. The race route intersects Road No. 10, where crossing is assisted by the organisers. Supplementary markings help following the route where it is necessary.

Recommended equipment

Above the runner's personal gear: tourist map of the Buda Hills (Budai-hegység) and the Pils - Visegrádi Hills (Pilis – Visegrádi-hegység), mobile phone, money (to cover the unexpected), lamp with spare batteries.

Entry fee includes refreshments, dispatching of the personal refreshments, awards for the finishers, and baggage transfer to the finish of Trail Fifty.
Entry fee is payable by bank transfer to the following account:
Raiffeisen Bank IBAN HU44 12011265 00577092 00100003 (Farkas László).
Entry is valid once the entry fee is received to the above account.
Entry may be cancelled and entry fee may be transferred to another race of ours by 10 May 2010. Entry fee already payed can not be refunded.
A VAT receipt of the payed entry fee is issued at the start upon request.
Collection of race bibs and dropping off of personal refreshments and baggages between 6:30 - 7:45 at the start.
Runners younger than 18 years may not participate in the race.
 

Awards

The top three finishers by gender will receive a present and a Finisher's Certificate.
All finishers will receive a Finisher's Certificate.
Those arriving after the limit time will not be awarded.
 

Race timing

The race is timed by the SportIdent chip system. There is a deposit of 6 000 Ft for the timing chip (SI-card), payable at the start, upon picking up the race bib. The deposit is refunded at the finish upon returning the SI-card. It is the ultimate responsibility of the participants to save and to return the SI-card. Runners may also user their personal SI-card.
 

Support cars

Ample refreshment is provided during the race, therefore the use of support cars is unnecessary. In order to preserve the environment participants are kindly requested not to arrange for support cars.
 

Escorting and helping the runners

It is prohibited to escort the participants during the race by any means (walking, running, by vehicle, bicycle, roller, etc.).
The participants may accept personal refreshment or assistance at the check-points, and within the range of 50 meters before and after those.
Use of professional assistant (team or personal trainer, doctor or masseur) is forbidden during the entire race!
 

Check-points

Check-point are set up along the race route, that must be passed through in order. It is prohibited to leave the designated route. The organisers reserve their right to check the passing of the participants even at unannounced check-points.
 

Wearing the race bib

The race bib, that is handed out to every participant of the race, must be worn clearly visibly on the front of the runners' apparel. The race bib must not be modified or covered. Any runner taking off or covering his or her bib is considered as giving up the race and will not be ranked.
 

Refreshments

Extensive selection of food and drinks are available at every refreshment station. To be expected: water, isotonic drink, lemonade, coke, fresh and dried fruits, tomato, crackers, honey, bread, chocolate.
Personal refreshments
Personal refreshments are dispatched to the following refreshment stations: Klastrompuszta (approx. 27 km) and Pilisszentlászló (approx. 53 km and approx. 76 km). Only light packages (raincoat, headlamp, etc.) may be delivered to these stations, others will be refused.
 

Shower and massage

Shower and a free massage is available at the finish to any participant of the Trail Hundred. Massage is available in the order of arrival.
 

Medical assistance, first aid

A competent first aid assistant is on duty during the entire race. Participants however are required to note that due to the features and properties of the terrain it may take significant time for the first aid assistant to get to an accident location. It is the ultimate obligation of every participant to take care of his or hers and of the others personal safety, and to help their mates in emergency.
 

Responsibility

By entering the race the participants acknowledge that Trail Hundred and Trail Fifty are run on difficult terrain, and succesful completion requires adequate physical and mental capacities as well as experience. The organiser may not be held responsible for any accident or damage attributable to any participant being unprepared, negligent or improvident.
 

Ethics of the race

  • Respect yourself and the other: do not cheat!
  • Respect the organisers and the volunteers: they expend their free time on you!
  • Respect the local citizens: they accomodate the race and the runners!
  • Respect the nature: do not litter and do not leave the designated trail!
  • Every participant is obliged to help those in emergency!
 

Disqualification

Any participant may be disqualified, who:
  • does not wear a race bib, or cover or modify it,
  • misses a check-point,
  • leaves the designated route of the race,
  • uses any means of transportation,
  • is escorted by any person not participating in the race,
  • accepts personal assistance outside the 50 meter-range of a check-point,
  • uses a professional assistant,
  • misses the limit time at any check-point or at the finish,
  • uses drugs,
  • does not help others in emergency,
  • leaves litter, damages the natural or built environment,
  • insults the organisers, the participants or the volunteers, verbally or physically.
 

Appeals

Appeals may be submitted in writing to the race organisers (László Csányi or Lászó Farkas), within 1 hour from finish. The fee for the appeal is 5 000 Ft.

The copyright of the photos and videos that may be taken of the race participants is the property of the race organisers, who may use these photos and videos freely.
